Our 4th bundle of Fuzz came to us from Coreen Savikko in California. Since I started breeding Cotons in 2001 I have always traveled to breed our girls. Over the last couple of years I had given serious thought in getting a male of our own to cut down on the travel time.

One of my main reasons for wanting to get a male is, that for the most part almost all Cotons color fades or lightens up, as they get older although some do (not many) retain their color as adults. Asha, Shayleigh and Cinnabun have a lot of color but it has faded as adults. I was hoping that getting a male with a lot of color and had color in his Pedigree would be a perfect fit for my girls hoping that their puppies would retain most of their coloring as adults. I know that the most popular color for a Coton is white and some that are white have champagne markings on them but I hoping to preserve the more colorful Cotons in this Rare Breed.

When I found out that Coreen had a litter of puppies on November 28th 2004 with her Black Female (Mainty Malaza) and there was a male puppy available I knew he was the one for us. My sister and I then flew out to California in Feb. 2005 to bring him home.

It didn’t take long to come up with a name for him since he was going to be the future love interest for our girls. Romeo is such a sweetheart. He likes to play and is in constant motion. He gives kisses all the time, loves to go for rides and especially loves playing with the rest of our furkids although sometimes our girls are not to receptive of his early advancements, if you know what I mean!!!!!!!!!!

Little Blessings Romeo of Savikko Cotons
